Since Project Natal’s now dubbed Kinect introduction last year, Microsoft has often said the peripheral will work with all existing Xbox 360 consoles. Today with the unveiling of the newest revision to the Xbox 360, a new proprietary port marked Aux is actually a special Kinect port that handles both data and power for the new motion sensor system. Existing 360 owners will still however be able to use Kinect just not natively like the Xbox 360 “slim”. This means you will need to utilize a USB port and an independent power source.
